Will's Story

The Power of Faith.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and was God … In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”

                                                                     – John 1:1-5

“Healing begins when a person understands they are more than their condition.”

– WILL PEARCE

From Patient To Pioneer

“Faith is the conviction of the soul with the eternal God who flows within each one of us and promises it will never, ever separate from our soul.”

Will Pearce’s Philosophy

Will Pearce learned of his brain tumor at 23 years old and was told he had five to seven years to live, and no doctor could operate on it. He was broken because he was convinced cancer would damage, then kill him, and he could never stop it.

Will considered giving up his pursuit of a law degree and a Master of Theological Studies. Then he prayed for guidance and was given an answer he never imagined:

Embrace your faith, because it is more powerful than any disease. Then build your life with it and use it to fight cancer itself.

Will finished law school, moved to New York, then to London, where he met his beautiful wife, Elysia, and then to San Francisco, where the two built a life they loved.

Will made partner at his law firm, Elysia had their daughter Skyler, and all they saw was hope.

Then Will started having seizures.

On January 1, 2018, Will had a grand mal seizure, which knocked him out, shattered his shoulder, and showed significant growth of his brain tumor.

Will assumed it would take his life, but he was wrong, because Dr. Mitchel Berger, one of the best surgeons in the world, removed a vast majority of it in March of 2018. But even the surgery did not heal Will’s broken mind.

Months later, he told Elysia he wanted to give up on his life, and she responded with the most powerful statement he had ever heard.

No. We have a family. You need to fight.”

Will healed portions of his mind and body from a program where he accepted death, then rebuilt his broken life. The path was difficult but more rewarding than imagined because it unified him with God, his family, and himself.

Most importantly, it gave his family members a blessing through the birth of their son, Walker, who made cancer seem small and irrelevant compared to the power of life over death.

Will had one more surgery and numerous rounds of chemotherapy, neither of which bothered him because his faith showed him the pains from cancer were meaningless compared to the power of his eternal soul.

This faith also gave him the strength to ask a bold question to Dr. Berger just before his third surgery:

Will: “We need to get rid of my seizures.”

Dr. Berger: “It’s dangerous because it’s right next to your spinal column.”

Will: “I don’t care … I need my life back.”

It can take months, years, or never to recover from brain surgeries, but none of that happened to Will.

The day after surgery, Will felt better than he had in years, and didn’t understand why, until Dr. Berger came into his hospital room with a smile on his face.

“I cut within one millimeter of your spinal column.”

This changed Will’s entire life.

For years, Will was a shattered man, but Dr. Berger’s aggressive surgery took away not merely his seizures, but his broken mind.

Through his path of healing, Will found something far more powerful than his own mortality, then used it to build The Will to Live system. This system relies on the power of faith, enabling the most damaged men and women to embrace the unbreakable connection between their eternal souls and God.
